Lunch at Dymock
A hot meal is available for your child at lunch time. It will be freshly prepared by the school cook. The food is produced and supplied by Caterlink who pride themselves in locally sourced, free range, seasonal food. The children going to school the following September will have the opportunity to share their lunch experience with the school reception class in the dining hall. This helps their transition into school.
Lunch at Cinderford
We prepare a hot lunch every day in our kitchen using fresh ingredients, making sure that the children get healthy, highly nutritious meals. We believe that it is important that children's diets avoid too much salt, sugar and fat; so we make sure all our recipes are all really tasty without too much of those. Our lunch menu is based on a three week cycle to make sure we offer a real variety.
Turtles Tea (Redmarley & Newent)
A light meal is available for your child if required. It will be freshly prepared by our staff and served late afternoon. The menu will include jacket potatoes, home made pizza and spagetti bolognese, sandwiches/rolls/wraps, sausage rolls/pizza, yogurts, fruit, veg & salad, cakes/biscuits and drinks.
We will provide snacks mid-morning and mid-afternoon for all the children using Happy Turtles. They will consist of bread sticks, rice cakes, fruit and veg, and other healthy treats. The children can also help themselves at any time from the fruit bowl in each room that we always keep full.
If you would like to send a packed lunch or tea with your child they will eat with the children having a hot meal to continue an inclusive environment. We find that children eat better when given lots of little things. It’s up to you of course and some ideas are: drink (not fizzy), sandwich or roll, yogurt, vegetables (e.g. carrot sticks, cucumber and cherry tomatoes), fruit cake. Please remember to put an ice pack in your child’s lunch bag.
If you child has any special dietary requirements it is essential that we are made aware during registration with Happy Turtles. This is especially important for things like food allergies.
